Trail Bridge Set In Place

With the Little River pedestrian bridge in place, the new Rail Trail in Hopkinsville is closer to becoming a reality. The trail, which is located on the old Tennessee Central railroad bed, runs from the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, at Bethel and West Ninth Streets, to Pardue Lane. Mayor Dan Kemp says work on the trail is progressing nicely, with the project on track for a May opening.

A passive city park will be located at the trailhead off of Pardue. A passive park is designated as a dusk to dawn park.
