Fort Campbell Affected By Fort Hood Shooting

Fort Campbell officials say they are stepping up security in the wake of shooting at Fort Hood Wednesday. Post spokesman, Brendalyn Carpenter says anytime they have a situation like this at an Army base they all make adjustments.

Carpenter says despite the distance, a incident like this affects everyone.

Reports say 34-year old Ivan Lopez opened fire on his fellow soldiers at Fort Hood killing 3 and wounding 16, before taking his own life.
