Minor Damage And Power Outages Reported After Storms



The Trigg County ECC says no reports of significant storm damage is being reported as the result of a severe thunderstorm that moved through the area between 8:30 and 9:30 Wednesday night. Dispatchers say a garage was destroyed by fire on Wildwood Drive after being struck by lightning Wednesday night. A transformer also caught on fire Wednesday night on Rockcastle Road. The Christian County ECC say no reports of damage have been received.

Meanwhile Pennyrile Electric is reporting some scattered power outages around the service area this morning. The outages include: Hopkinsville District - Bainbridge Road, Shadowwood Subdivision, Petsch Lane, Binns Mill Rd., and Rosetown Rd.
Cadiz District - Holmes Cook Rd. Elkton District - Butler Rd., and Allegre Rd.
