Reception For New Hopkinsville Fire Chief

New Hopkinsville Fire Chief Freddie Montgomery, and his wife Priscilla, were officially welcomed with a reception Tuesday. Surrounded by old friends, co-workers, and supportive community members, at the Lackey Municipal Building, Montgomery told the News Edge he was ready to take the reigns of the department and did not expect to make many changes immediately.

Montgomery's wife Priscilla was especially proud, and happy for her husband, affirming that he has worked hard to get to this point in his career.

Montgomery has been serving as acting Chief following the retirement of former Chief Fagan Pace. Tuesday was Montgomery's first official day in his new position.
