Hopkins County Man Charged With Marijuana Trafficking



A Hopkins County man is facing marijuana trafficking charges following a multi-agency investigation. According to information from the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, the investigation involving the Task Force, the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, and the Ohio County Sheriff's Department, resulted in the arrest of 54-year old Daniel Young, of St. Charles.

On Monday, a search warrant was executed at Young's home, at 159 Terry Road. During the search, officers located approximately 100 pounds of marijuana, money, weapons, and drug paraphernalia. Young was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana and Cultivating Marijuana. The charges were weapon enhanced. He was taken and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail
