Three Hopkinsville residents are facing drug trafficking and other charges following their arrest early Tuesday. According to Hopkinsville Police, during a traffic stop on Canton Street, officers detected a smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, 26-year old Katherine Cothran, admitted to being in possession of marijuana, and to having a handgun under a front seat in her vehicle.

Cothran, along with her two passengers, 19-year old Raymond Hill and 20-year old Javorean McNeal, were charged with Trafficking in Marijuana.
