Hopkinsville Man Arrested On Drug Charges



A weekend party has resulted in charges being filed against a Hopkinsville man. According to Hopkinsville Police, officers were called out to the Comfort Inn early Sunday morning, after employees said they detected the smell of marijuana. When officers arrived on the scene, the located bags of marijuana, loose marijuana, and pills in the bathroom of a room at the hotel.

Police arrested 21-year old Detreveon Childs on charges of Trafficking in Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Illegal Transaction with a Minor. Police add that several people were in the room at the time, and that some of those were juveniles. Childs was taken and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
