Hopkinsville Man Charged In Weekend Assault



A Hopkinsville man faces assault charges following an incident late Saturday night. According to Hopkinsville Police, officers were called out to the report of a disturbance on West 7th Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they were told by the victim, who is pregnant, that she had allegedly been in a dispute with her boyfriend, 33-year old Edward Campbell, when the dispute turned physical, and Campbell struck her multiple times. Campbell was arrested on a charge of 4th Degree Assault and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
