Todd County Delaying Changes In School Calendar

In wake of the bill making its way through the Kentucky General Assembly that would grant school districts a ten day waiver on their school calendars due to winter weather, the Todd County school system is deciding to delay the implementation of proposed changes to their calendar for the rest of the school year. According to the Todd County Standard, Superintendent Wayne Benningfield released a statement Friday announcing that they would postpone the recent school day changes approved by the Todd County School Board.

In issuing the statement, Benningfield said the school district would hold off on the extended days, and full day Fridays for one week. The decision was made based on a possible vote on the waiver early in the week by the General Assembly.
