Greenville Road Man Killed In Apparent Family DIspute

The Christian County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting that left a Greenville Road man dead. According to the report, deputies responded to 7705 Greenville Road after reports of a shooting were called into dispatch. Deputies arrived at the scene to find 33-year old Kyle Lee Johnson, of 7709 Greenville Road suffering from what appeared to be two gunshot wounds to the chest. Johnson was transported to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center Emergency Room, where he later died from his injuries.

Through their investigation, deputies learned that Johnson had some type of altercation with his family earlier in the evening at his residence and had made threats to harm them. A short time after that, around 6:15 pm, Johnson went to his parent’s house, and forced his way into the residence, armed with a shotgun. Witnesses told investigators that Johnson’s father then shot him, twice in the chest. As of this time, no arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
