Middle School Referee Dies



An employee of the Crittenden County Schools died while officiating a middle school basketball game in Eddyville Tuesday night. According to information from the Crittenden Press, Mike Hamilton, who worked as a custodian for the Crittenden County Schools, had called the first game of a boys middle school doubleheader between Caldwell County and Lyon County. During the second game, he left the court and went to the locker room where he died of an apparent heart attack.
