HCC Board Members Pleased With Allen

The Hopkinsville Community College Board of Directors is pelased with the selection of Doctor Jay Allen as the new president. Allen currently lives on campus at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College's Perkinston campus and Board Chair Bettie Wallace told the News Edge Allen's family was concerned about continuing their interactions with students.

KCTCS President, Dr Michael McCall says all four candidates were really qualified, but Allen rose to the top.

He adds with all the changes in cabinet leadership, Allen could be hiring several new faces.

Board Vice Chairman, John Rittenhouse says the community support through all of this has been fantastic.

Allen will start his new position as HCC President January 1.
