Southwick Arraigned On Endangerment Charge

The Trigg County man charged in connection with the accidental shooting of a 2-year old earlier this year was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Trigg Circuit Court. Appearing before Circuit Judge Woody Woodall, David Southwick entered not guilty pleas to one count of 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment and two counts of 2nd Degree Cruelty to Animals.

It was back on May 21, when State Police responded to an accidental shooting at Southwick’s Wildflower Way home. The child was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of a non life-threatening head injury as a result of the incident. Southwick’s next court appearance was scheduled for January 8th.
