Imes Files For Another Term

One of the two representatives for Trigg County in the Kentucky House of Representatives has now officially filed for another term in office. Incumbent Republican Kenny Imes filed his paperwork Wednesday morning for another term representing the House's 5th District, which is made up of part of Trigg County and Calloway County.

During a News Edge interview, Imes spoke about the challenges he sees the state facing over the next couple of years.

Imes also noted that he detects an increasing spirit of cooperation among the two parties in Frankfort.

The 66-year old Imes, who lives in Murray, will be running for his sixth overall term in the Kentucky House. Prior to being elected in 2012, he had served four terms in the 1970s, as a Democrat.
