HCC Welcomes New Rotary Scholars

127 young adults are enrolled at Hopkinsville Community College this fall because of the Rotary Scholars program. 83 new, incoming students and 44, who are continuing from the 2012 inaugural year, are actively attending the college tuition-free this fall term. Rachel Westerman, manager of external education programs, says they have some amazing Rotary Scholars students--several have ACT scores at or over 28 so they could attend college most anywhere.

The Rotary Scholars Program, a partnership between the Rotary Club of Hopkinsville and HCC, awards scholarships that cover tuition for 2 years for eligible students who graduate from Christian County High School, Hopkinsville High School, Heritage Christian Academy or University. Interested students must apply their freshman year of high school and meet additional requirements.
