Soldier Arrested For Saturday Assault

A Fort Campbell soldier faces assault charges in connection to an incident Saturday night. According to the Christian County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched to Woodland Heights around 10:50pm Saturday in reference to a domestic incident, in which the victim claimed that her husband, 21-year old Murad Beaton, had been drinking and had assaulted her by biting her on the nose.

When deputies located Beaton he reportedly gave them a false name and began struggling with them. During the arrest, Beaton allegedly kicked Deputy Eddie Frye in the leg. He was arrested on charges of 2nd Degree Assault and 4th Degree Assault.
