Trigg County Day Of Play Successful

Lower attendance apparently due to hot weather did not deter the atmosphere for the second annual Trigg County Day of Play. More than fifty children accompanied by parents enjoyed a variety of events from dancing and washer toss to relay races and obstacle course at the Trigg County Recreation Complex Thursday. Judy Rousseau with the Pennyrile District Health Department says the event is about getting families outside and active together.

Rousseau says there were a number of local businesses and organizations that were key to making the event a success.

Rousseau adds the lower attendance Thursday will not deter plans for next year's Day of Play.

The Trigg County Day of Play is one of the events that was developed by the Health and Wellness Committee to give local residents a chance to find ways to get healthier.
