Kentucky Star Quilt Shop and Books on Main

This has been a monumental year for Kentucky Star Quilt Shop and Books on Main. May, 2013, marked our first anniversary and in July, we found out we were going to be moving!!!  Yes, the first year has been very exciting!  Connie Pryor and Pam Goolsby invite you to stop in and visit at your locally owned Kentucky Star Quilt Shop and Books on Main bookstore in historic downtown Hopkinsville, you’ll find both of these unique businesses in one convenient location.  We will be moving to our new location (to be announced) around the first of October AND it will still be in downtown Hopkinsville, so stay tuned for all the updates as they become available.

Things are moving right along and soon the renovations will begin on our new location. We are very excited about the amount of room and parking that will be available at the new location. There will also be a great classroom open for those special quilt or guild meetings.

In preparation for our move a huge selection of fabrics are 40% off and you’ll find some that’s 50% off the original price!!  Berrocco yarns for those who love to knit and crochet are on sale at 40% off!!  You’ll find beautiful summer and fall colors to choose from in several different fibers from cotton to wool to alpaca. There’s a group of patterns and word panels at 30% off.
Maybe you’ve been considering learning to sew, or honing up on your skills, Kentucky Star Quilt Shop offers classes almost every month. Coming August 24th  is an Advanced Beginners Quilting Class. Stop in or call and reserve your spot.   Here’s a sneak peek of a few things coming up later this year—On September 7 we will offer a Fuzzy Snuggler class ( a rag quilt), on September 21, it’s a Bullseye Quilt class and in October we will offer a Make and Take Christmas Craft class every Saturday!!

We also offer “Sew Social” every Tuesday. What is Sew Social? It’s a great time we sit around and sew and socialize!! Reserve your spot for this fun time.

Books on Main is Hopkinsville’s only book store and they stock all current publications, books from local authors, as well as best sellers. They carry several Kentucky Artists books like Widdler’s Landing by Eddie Price (from Hancock County, KY). Plus they have a great children’s section which has all the classics as well as the new popular  books for that special child in your life.  Special orders are available too.

Please consider this your personal invitation to come in to Kentucky Star Quilt Shop and Books On Main located at 911 South Main Street Hopkinsville. Both are open Monday through Friday 10:00 AM till 5:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM till 3:00 PM.  Call Kentucky Star Quilt Shop at 270-886-5955 and Books On Main at 270-707-0040 and like us on Facebook, sign up for our newsletter and check out our website www.kystarquiltshop.com!!
