Trigg County Farm Tour

Hot temperatures and the threat of thunderstorms did not discourage a large crowd from attending the Fifth Annual Trigg County Farm Tour.

Extension Agent David Fourquean says this years crowd may have been one of the largest in recent history.

Fourquean says the annual event is not only a chance to inform people about what is taking place in agriculture, but also an opportunity to educate the public.

The tour made stops to talk with David and Jonelle Kyler about their Gelbvieh cattle operation, Nick and Heather Woodruff, and Shane Patterson to talk about their decision to return to the farm, Craig Bannister about his livestock and custom hay operations, and Craig, Stephanie and Shannon Perry about their tobacco and grain crop operation on Vinson Farms. Plans are already underway for the 6th annual Farm Tour next summer.
