Senator Westerfield Honored With KY Chamber MVP Award

Freshman 3rd District State Senator Whitney Westerfield is one of a select few members of the Kentucky General Assembly to recieve the Kentucky Chamber's MVP for Business Award.  Kentucky Chamber representative Chad Harpole presented the award to Westerfield during the Christian County Chamber Eye Opener Breakfast Tuesday because of the Senator's support of drugfree workplace legislation.

Harpole says the award places Senator Westerfield in a select group of legislators.

Westerfield said he was glad to support the legislation on behalf of the chamber and Kentucky businesses.

Senator Westerfield was the only western Kentucky lawmaker to receive the award this year. Other honorees included Senate President Robert Stivers, Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer, Representative Jim Decesare of Bowling Green.
