Cadiz Man Arrested for Assault and Impersonating an Officer

Cadiz Police arrested a local man early Sunday morning on multiple charges including impersonating a police officer.

Reports say police were called shortly before midnight Saturday to Shelby Street for a domestic assault between 22 year old Tyler Francis of Cunningham Avenue and the mother of his child. When police arrived Francis had already left the scene. Around 7:45 Sunday morning Francis returned to the home and allegedly assaulted the victim again and left before police arrived. Francis returned to the home a third time around 9:25 and attempted to get inside by knocking on a side door and claiming to be police. When police arrived again they found Francis hiding in the woodline next to the house. Police also took note of the damage done inside the home. Francis is charged with Assault, Burglary, Alcohol Intoxication, Criminal Mischief, and Impersonating a Police Officer.
