Alltech Founder And CEO Challenges Local Chamber



Alltech Founder and CEO Dr. Pearse Lyons is encouraging the Christian County Chamber of Commerce to help make the county the top in the state of Kentucky. Dr. Lyons was the featured speaker for the 125th Annual Chamber Dinner at the Bruce Convention Center Tuesday night. Dr. Lyons said one of the major keys to success for Kentucky is embracing Technology.


   
He also stressed how critical it is to have the right people in the right place. And Dr. Lyons outlined five keys to success.


   
Prior to his remarks, 2013 Outstanding Young Professional Award was presented to Kyle Higgins. The Bob Kelso Diplomat of the Year Award was presented to WHOP's Tracey Mason. Following Dr. Lyon's remarks the EI-squared business startup winner was announced by Christian County Cares 2015 Director Yasmin Ausinbaugh. The competition was won by Elizabeth Luie with E-three Nutrition. Second place went to Doug Craddock, with Craddock Group Energy Efficiency and Retrofitting. Third place was awarded to Griffin and Company Arts, Gifts and Studios.

Mike Kem was the winner of the five-thousand dollar drawing, with Eston Glover winning one-thousand dollars and Tom Cain winning five-hundred dollars. The Chamber annual dinner came to close as past Chamber Board Chairs relatives of former chairs passed the gavel to 2013-2014 Chamber Chairman Spencer Kilijian.
