PADD Honors Southern Pennyrile Chamber Alliance

The Southern Pennyrile Chamber Alliance is being recognized for the three-county effort that is already making progress for Trigg, Christian and Todd Counties. The W. W. Bill Bryan Memorial Award was presented to SPCA President John Peck and County Judge Executives Steve Tribble from Christian County, Hollis Alexander from Trigg County and Daryl Greenfield from Todd County during the 44th annual Pennyrile Area Development District meeting at the Bruce Convention Center Monday night. The award, that is named in honor of the first PADD Chairman Bill Bryan, was presented by Secretary Lori Harper.

Harper says the Alliance has already tackled a number of projects that will benefit the region.

Meanwhile PADD Assistant Director Jason Vincent presented 20-year service awards to Loan Committee members Kenneth Guinn, of Trigg County, and John Carner, of Lyon County.

Also Executive Director Chris Sutton presented service awards to Dawson Springs Mayor Jenny Sewell, Caldwell County Judge Brock Thomas, Livingston County Judge Chris Lasher, Kuttawa Mayor Butch McCollum and Muhlenburg County representative Gary Jones. Padd staff members Cindy Cummings and Karen Wallace were recognized for 10 and 20 years of service, respectfully.

The PADD Board approved the re-appointment of Bernard Standard of Christian County, Morton's Gap Mayor Frank Stafford, Livingston County representative Charles Cooper and Gary Jones of Muhlenburg County.
