Dawson Springs Public Meeting Rescheduled

Transportation officials have rescheduled a public meeting in Dawson Springs that had to be canceled back in April due to severe weather. The public meeting will be Thursday, June 20, to discuss the widening of U.S. 62/Arcadia Avenue in Dawson Springs.

The meeting will take place from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, in the multi-purpose room of Dawson Springs High School. Engineers will be available to share preliminary design plans and seek public input on the project that runs along U.S. 62, between Sycamore Street and Parkwood Drive, in Dawson Springs.

The planned project includes adding sidewalks and a middle turn lane to improve safety and traffic flow. A handout and comment sheet/questionnaire will be provided. Displays illustrating the range of alignments and alternative scenarios studied for reconstruction of this section of U.S. 62 will be available.
