Locals Celebrate EMS Week

This is EMS week across the country and locally people are celebrating the emergency responders who risk their lives and health to keep us safe or get us to the hospital.

Alan Jones and Linda Oiler with Trigg County Emergency Services say this is a week for the community to recognize all that EMS gives back including education to Boy Scouts and the senior citizens center among other things.

Oiler says they also run a very active Lifeline program for local residents.

Jones says as part of EMS week they'll also be helping personnel with trainings and provide training to the public.

The President signed a proclamation Sunday night naming this week EMS week nationwide.
