Police Arrest Two Women For Child Abuse

Hopkinsville Police are charging two women with felony assault after reports by local elementary school officials that a child was being abused. Police say officials at Belmont Elementary School called asking officers to look into a report of child abuse. Officials say the child told them the abuse was done by his mother and another woman living in their home.

Though names have not been released, Police say both women were charged with three counts of first-degree assault and lodged at the Christian County Jail.
