Lyon County Marijuana Arrest On I-24

Kentucky State Police say a Washington man is facing marijuana trafficking and other charges following a Thursday traffic stop on Interstate 24.
Post one spokesman Trooper Jay Thomas says 30 year-old Clifford A. James of Custer, Washington, was arrested Thursday after he was pulled over for reckless driving on I-24 in Lyon County. After a canine unit from department of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement alerted officers that marijuana was in the vehicle, police found about two pounds of high grade marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
James was charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving, and was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
