The former director of the Aaron McNeil House, in Hopkinsville, is facing 10-years in prison, and a 4000-dollar fine after pleading guilty Wednesday afternoon in Christian Circuit Court. Paula Russell appeared before Judge Andrew Self, who read her the plea agreement.
After making sure Russell was not under the influence of any substance, or pressured by any person to agree to the plea deal, Judge Self asked her about her guilt.
Russell was charged with embezzling 23,000-dollars from the non-profit organization. She will be formally sentenced April 24.
