Pennyroyal Hospice Moves Fundraiser Outdoors

The annual sit-down fundraising dinner of the Pennyroyal Hospice will undergo a drastic change this year in hopes to make the event more lively and fun for those in attendance. Pennyroyal Hospice Executive Director Kelly Martin says the event, which typically takes place in March, will be moved to May to take advantage of the warmer weather since the annual fundraiser will now take place outside.

Martin says the fundraiser will offer food, cocktails, and entertainment, just under a tent on the tarmac of the Hopkinsville-Christian County Airport.

The Pennyroyal Hospice Annual Fundraiser, now dubbed "On the Horizon," will be May 30, at 6:00pm. Last year the fundraiser brought in more than 30-thousand dollars at the James E Bruce Convention Center. Martin and his staff are hopeful the outdoor event can be just as successful, if not more so.
