HWEA Infrastructure Improvement Loans

As Hopkinsville grows so do its utilities, and the Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority is looking to expand its infrastructure. HWEA General Manager Derek Watson spoke recently to the Committee of the Whole about some infrastructure loans they are applying for.

Watson says these improvements are meant to help comply with some recommendations, as well as provide better service to their customers.

At this point Watson says they are unsure if a rate increase would be necessary for these improvements.

Council members approved HWEA applying for the loans at last Thursday's Committee of the Whole meeting.
