Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet have announced that a contractor plans to close the KY 139-Little River Bridge near Cadiz, for painting and joint replacement starting Thursday, February 28. Officials add that some pre-construction activities may start at the bridge during the next week.
However, the closure date will remain Thursday, February 28th. Transporation officials say there will be a marked detour while the work takes place. The project is expected to take about 60 days to complete. Once work is completed on the KY 139-Little River Bridge, the contractor will move to the KY 274-Little River Bridge for cleaning, painting, and maintenance work.
