One Injured In Tuesday Morning Accident

One person was transported following a two vehicle accident Tuesday morning at the intersection of North Drive and West 7th Street. Hopkinsville Police say 61-year old Patricia Jones, of Hopkinsville, was on North Drive, entering the intersection with West 7th Street, when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by 55-year old Frankie Bivins, of Hopkinsville.

According to the police report, Bivins apparently ran the red light on West 7th Street. Jones was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of neck and back injuries. The accident occurred around 6:57am Tuesday.
