Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway is hoping the General Assembly will make some minor changes to the Prescription Drug Law that was approved last year. Conway told the News Edge, during an exclusive interview, that he is working with House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Tilley, who represents Christian and Trigg Counties, to fine tune the law.
Conway adds making the law more user friendly will result in better participation.
Conway notes the law is already making a difference.
The Controlled Substance Regulation Law requires tighter control of prescription painkillers and requires doctors and pharmacies to register prescriptions with a state database through what is known as the KASPER System.
