Hopkinsville Mayor Looks To Future Econ Growth

Hopkinsville continues to fair well through the economic recession rolling through the country and Mayor Dan Kemp says he only expects good things with the opening of two businesses this year and the potential for more. Mayor Kemp recently told the News Edge work in the mall is expected soon, with TeleTech to open this summer.

He says they are also expecting Chick-fil-A to open this summer.

One of the lifesavers for the community has been Fort Campbell and the funding it pumps into the local economy as well as the growth in the industrial parks last year, which included numerous expansions and a 5 percent increase in payroll.
