Tilley And Westerfield Co-Chair Committee

With a full agenda ranging from reports on Kentucky's Judicial Branch to an update of 2011 legislation overhauling the state's criminal justice code, State Representative John Tilley and State Senator Whitney Westerfield held their first meeting Thursday as co-chairmen of the General Assembly's Interim Joint Committee on Judiciary.

The agenda for the meeting included the 2013 State of the Judiciary speech by Kentucky Supreme Court Chief Justice John Minton and the progress the state has seen since House Bill 463 became law in 2011. Other topics were updates from the Unified Juvenile Code Task Force, which the General Assembly authorized last year, and the Kentucky Child Support Guidelines Review Commission.
