Local Singers Featured On Daughters Of Bluegrass

Two local Bluegrass music artists are included on a new cd project recently released Wednesday by well-known singer-songwriter Tom T. Hall and his wife Dixie. Singer and musician Sheila Lancaster and her mother June Cobb, of Cadiz, are among a number women who are featured on the new Daughters of Bluegrass project.

Lancaster, who has been singing bluegrass, country and gospel music since she was a child, says the songs they are featured on were chosen by the Halls.

As an added bonus, Lancaster says she and her mom will be performing during a bluegrass music showcase event this weekend in Nashville.

Both ladies currently sing with the popular bluegrass gospel music group known as The Ridgerunners. The new cd project will soon be available at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville or online at goodhomegrownmusic-dot-com, bluecirclerecords-dot-com or the Ridgerunners website.
