Snowfall amounts vary from a dusting to nearly an inch or more from a fast moving band of precipitation that passed through the area Thursday night.
Local emergency officials are reporting no major problems with slick roads, but advise drivers to be on the lookout for isolated slick spots, and possible ice on bridges and overpasses. The Christian County ECC says some slick spots are being reported on Highway 115-the Pembroke-Oak Grove Road.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District Spokesman Keith Todd said winds helped dry wet pavement surfaces and lowered the potential for re-freezing in the overnight hours. He says crews wrapped up salt and calcium chloride treating efforts around 11:00 thursday night. A state crew remained on alert in each county through overnight hours to respond to trouble spots in the overnight hours.
