The man accused in the February 2012 murder of a Fort Campbell soldier on Fidelio Road, in southern Christian County, is still scheduled to stand trial in April, following court proceedings Wednesday afternoon in Christian Circuit Court. Defense counsel for Jarred Tabor Long has requested to have a blood sample from his backpack tested by an independent lab. Long, along with Jessie Goslyn, are scheduled to stand trial beginning April 15th, in the murder of Goslyn's husband Vincent, back on February 3, 2012.
Prosecutors charge that Long and Jessie Goslyn had apparently been living together for about six months on post, in the Goslyn's home, prior to the shooting, while Vincent Goslyn was away on active duty in Afghanistan. Vincent had just returned from deployment with the 101st Airborne Division when he was killed.
According to previous testimony, the pair had allegedly talked the night before the shooting about how Jessie Goslyn would take her husband out to eat, and then pretend to get sick on Fidelio Road. Under the alleged plan, Long would be waiting there, pretending to be broken down on the side of the road. Autopsy results revealed that Vincent Goslyn was shot eight times.
