Kentucky's Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission took action Monday against an alleged global pyramid scheme in business since 2001 and headquartered in Lexington.
Attorney General Jack Conway announced Monday that the headquarters and a warehouse belonging to Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing were secured earlier in the day as a part of legal action against the company.
Conway says Fortune Hi-Tech customers were supposed to sell all sorts of products and yearly contracts but the real money was in hiring other sellers.
The company's assets and accounts have been frozen. No arrests have been made. A preliminary hearing is set for February 7th.
