Two Transported Following Monday Accident

Two Calloway County residents were transported to Trigg County Hospital following a single vehicle accident Monday morning on U.S. 68, west of Cadiz. According to Lt. Jimmy Godair, with the Trigg County Sheriff's Department, Kim Chung, of Murray, was eastbound, near the intersection with Sam Downs Road, about a half mile east of the entrance to Lake Barkley State Park, when her vehicle hydroplaned on the wet roadway and struck an embankment.

Chung and a passenger, David Carlson, also of Murray, were both transported to Trigg County Hospital, where they were treated and released. The accident occurred around 7:45 Monday morning.
