The Trigg County School District is waiting on approval from the state before moving ahead with the Primary/Intermediate School renovation, after the Local Planning Committee amended the four-year plan. Superintendent Travis Hamby told the Board at its last meeting that the LPC approved the changes to the project.
Operations Director, Matt Ladd says the state has to give its official stamp of approval, but given that 17 of the 20 LPC members were in attendance, he does not expect issues. After the school board voted to approve the proposed changes to the four-year plan, members voted to hire JKS Architects as the design firm for the project. JKS was one of three companies to apply for the job; C and S Designs of Lexington and Castleberry McGregor of Benton also sent proposals.
