Trigg County Fiscal Court will follow in the footsteps of Caldwell and Lyon County Fiscal Courts by considering a resolution Thursday night, which supports the fight ahead of the Pennyrile District Health Department. Trigg Judge Executive Hollis Alexander says he will present Fiscal Court with a resolution supporting the local health department's fight to seek reimbursement from the state for its Medicaid services.
The District is having to pay back 30 percent of the Medicaid funding it receives from the state, which totals 397-thousand dollars. Lyon County has already approved the resolution and Caldwell County is considering the resolution.
