South Pennyrile Chamber Alliance Heading To Frankfort

Representatives from the Southern Pennyrile Chamber Alliance will be in Frankfort February 6th to lobby with State officials about their priorities for the 2013 General Assembly.
Christian County Chamber President and Alliance member Carter Hendricks detailed the 2013 priority list Tuesday during the Cadiz Rotary Club meeting. Hendricks says several local officials from the three county alliance will spend the entire day at the State Capitol.

Hendricks says a new Allied Health and Science building at Hopkinsville Community College will be at the top of the priority list, with the project also highly ranked by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and the Council for Post Secondary Education.

The Todd County Career Path Institute will remain second on the priority list, with Hendricks saying an update of communications laws in the State of Kentucky is number three on the list.

Other Priorities include keeping new bridges over Barkley and Kentucky Lake in the Six-Year Road Plan, a new Murray State University Breathitt Veterinary Center, increasing the speed limit to 65 miles per hour along Highway 68 to Mayfield, when and where it is safe and other priorities included in the 2012 list.
