From the News Edge: Transportation officials are reporting a traffic backup along the westbound lanes of I-24 in the work zone from near the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line to the Fort Campbell Boulevard exit. The contractor is pouring concrete as part of ongoing pavement rehabilitation work around the 89-mile marker, near the Pembroke-Oak Grove exit. While concrete trucks are moving in and out of this work area delivering material, the traffic backup appears to be more related to heavy traffic along the westbound lanes today. Westbound I-24 traffic in this work zone is backed up about 3 to 4 miles at this time with traffic slowed to about 35 mph in the area. To help reduce traffic congestion in this area, regular commuters who normally travel this section of I-24 westbound are being asked to seek an alternate route, if possible...............................................................................................................................A Night With The Blues is Saturday night at the Alhambra Theatre. Tidwell Murder Trial Postponed

The trial of the man accused of killing his father in Oak Grove was supposed to get underway Tuesday morning, but was postponed at the last minute. After the jury waited for selection to begin in the Darrell Tidwell trial, Circuit Judge John Atkins announced that, much to his chagrin, they were dismissed.

After the jury left the courtroom, Judge Atkins explained why the trial had been called off for the time being.

Judge Atkins set another trial date for April 29th, with a competency hearing and an evaluation by the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center to fall sometime in the interim. Tidwell is accused of killing his father in Oak Grove in November of 2011.
