The best 3rd grade math students in Christian County will get a chance to show their skills next week. The 2nd Annual Christian County Elementary Multiplication Bee is set for Tuesday, January 29th. In order to progress to the district competition, contestants had to finish as one of the top three students in their class multiplication bees and as one of the top three students in their school multiplication bees.
A total of 27 contestants from nine schools will be participating in this year’s event. Haley Moore, Curriculum Specialist at Holiday Elementary and Multiplication Bee Coordinator, says she is pleased that the school district offers a fun incentive for students to master their facts and showcase that mastery in an academic competition. The bee will be held at the PAC, inside Christian County Middle School, and will begin at 6:30pm.
