A 5-year old Trigg County child was injured Monday morning in a farming accident in southern Trigg County. According to information from the Trigg County Sheriff's Department, rescue personnel were called out to the scene on Sammy Gunn Road, just off Delmont Church Road, around 11:35am, when a roll of hay, that was being off loaded from a trailer, fell from a height of approximately 8-feet and landed on the child.
Trigg County EMS transported the child to the intersection of Highway 139 and Highway 164, where he was then flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center. No additional details are available concerning the accident.
