Gun Control Proposals Hurt Gun Business

The threat of tighter restrictions on guns has weapon and ammunitions sales booming but retailers say that won't last for long. Lee Fauntleroy of Uncle Lee's in Greenville says whenever people feel that their 2nd Amendment rights are being threatened, gun sales go through the roof.

Fauntleroy says it's not the gun itself that is necessarily dangerous but the high capacity magazines that allow the guns to hold 30 to 100 rounds.

Either way, he says he doesn't believe the gun control measures proposed by the President will have any affect because the guns are already on the street.

Last week President Obama released his 23 proposals intended to curb gun violence and address issues with school safety and mental illness.
