The area was stunned earlier this week when one of the most anticipated new industries in the region announced that it would be laying off three quarters of its local workforce, before the plant actually went into production. Todd County Standard publisher, Ryan Craig says the layoff of 300 people from Hemlock Semiconductor in Clarksville will definitely have an impact on people in Todd County.
Craig says the immediate impact is bad but the long term ramifications could amplify the problem.
