City of Hopkinsville officials wrapped up board appointments at Tuesday night's regular meeting of the City Council. Mayor Dan Kemp appointed James Blair to fill the unexpired term of Breck Cayce on the Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority. The Mayor additionally reappointed the entire Inner City REZ Advisory Committee to serve through 2014.
Those include members at large Dave Fernandez, Derrick Quarles, Ruth Lynch, David Ptaszek, Jesse Quarles, Wynn Radford, Carolyn Self, David Smith, Bernard Standard, Charles Turner, James Victor, and Alissa Young. Reverand Robert Jones and Armetta Pittman will serve as representatives from Inner City REZ areas, and Councilman Wesley Grimes will serve as the City Council's representative.
The Mayor also issued an executive order naming Don Ahart the Mayor-pro-tem after council members elected Ahart their Committee of the Whole Chairman at the first Council meeting of the year.

In other business, Council approved 33,500-dollars in funds from the Economic Infrastructure line item to the Inner City REZ program for the demolition of 906 South Main Street. The demolition will be in conjunction with the ongoing downtown revitalization.
