Hopkinsville City Council Candidate Arrested



Hopkinsville Police arrested a former candidate for Hopkinsville City Council over the weekend after he allegedly called in a false report of a gang fight down town. Public Information Officer Paul Ray says 28-year old Derek Patterson, the owner of DT's Last Call, was arrested early Saturday morning after he called ECC to report a large motorcycle gang fight next door to his business at the Princess Theater.


   
Reports say Joshua Strauch with the Princess Theater told police when they arrived that Patterson had called the police to annoy him. When officers questioned Patterson he reportedly addmitting to calling 911.
